Norton Sound economic Development Corp (NSEDC) spent 1 milion dollars in Unalakleet on wind generators, after other villages made a fuss they are suppose to make available 1 million in grants to the rest of the Bering Straits villages. Paul Ivanoff (800-385-3190) in NSEDC Unalakleet office has more info. Second bit of info Bering Straits Native Corp, Kawerak inc, NSEDC and Sitnasauk Native Corp have put in a bid to purchase Pilgram Hotsprings.
I was in Fbks during XMas, i grew up 1 mile before Ester, I went to ACEP online google map site, and drove to your office, looked like a residential building (814 Alumni dr) figured u were on vacation.
Anyway I've started a draft outline to pursue grant funding to reduce our oil dependency in Elim, a large part of this well be studying and accessing our hotsprings. We are looking at DOE and/or NSEDC grants. The State of Alaska is a bit to political to consider. If you have time to look over the draft and provide any input this would be great.
