 al, national, and international awards for its innovations in sustaina
 ble urban development. To date, more than 1,000 homes have been comple
 ted, along with the first phase of the Town Centre.\n\nGordon, a Fello
 w of the Canadian Institute of Planners, is a well-respected urban pla
 nner who works to ensure UniverCity remains on the leading edge of ene
 rgy efficiency, material conservation, healthy environment and communi
 ty building. He and his team are making significant and innovative con
 tributions toward the creation of independent and universal green buil
 ding standards to ensure a high level of urban design and environmenta
 l performance. Prior to joining the SFU Community Trust, Gordon provid
 ed consulting services to a wide range of Canadian and international c
 lients. In his practice, he was recognized as one of Canada’s leadin
 g providers of market-based economics analysis and strategic planning
