 nal, national, and international awards for its innovations in sustain
 able urban development. To date, more than 1,000 homes have been compl
 eted, along with the first phase of the Town Centre.\n\nGordon, a Fell
 ow of the Canadian Institute of Planners, is a well-respected urban pl
 anner who works to ensure UniverCity remains on the leading edge of en
 ergy efficiency, material conservation, healthy environment and commun
 ity building. He and his team are making significant and innovative co
 ntributions toward the creation of independent and universal green bui
 lding standards to ensure a high level of urban design and environment
 al performance. Prior to joining the SFU Community Trust, Gordon provi
 ded consulting services to a wide range of Canadian and international 
 clients. In his practice, he was recognized as one of Canada’s leadi
 ng providers of market-based economics analysis and strategic planning
