Mike, I definitely want to attend.
ATVs should work well on electric power except the Lead Acid batteries have a hard time in lower temperatures. I am not sure how the newer Lithium and Nickle-Cad handle lower temperatures? There are several scooters and a motorcycles currently being built with electric power systems.
The best solution will come with the coming supercapacitor developement. Then low temperature performance will improve along with range and power output.

Way to go. Count me in. Question on location: In what building/room will this electron-fest occur?

I do believe that if we could transform our ATV's to electric would be a benifit in the winter there would be no need to warm the unit because most of us in the morning just ride to work maybe a 10-20 minute run and this causes all kinds of problems with a gas engine, if it is not properly warmed thus wasting fuel. An electric motor has less parts to maintain. If you think about it, for myself when I use my ATV to get wood, hunt or just travel the combustion engine is the right unit to use until battery technology can catch up. And what about outboards?
