Please Join us in tribute to the Alaskans Trail Blazer who have ventured out ahead of the crowd using a cleaner, safer, and renewable source of energy. This is a free educational service brought to you by members of our community, the American Solar Energy Society (NationalSolarTour.org), local sustainability groups, our sponsors, and ACAT- a non-profit organization promoting education and research in the application of technology for sustainable living in Alaska since 1993. No registration required. The Alaska Solar Tour features homes and businesses in our community that showcase installations of highly efficient building techniques, solar thermal, PV (photovoltaic), wind turbines, and green building features.

Saturday October 2nd 9:30am Meet at Agate Inn in Wasilla (4725 E Begich Cir 99654 907-373-2290) and take the Solar Tour Bus or car pool to a half dozen Energy Efficient Buildings demonstrating, green building, renewable energy and sustainable building techniques. After the tour all are invited to stay for a pot luck dinner at the Agate Inn then a presentation at 7–8 pm by the director of the National Solar Tour from the American Solar Energy Society in Boulder, Colorado, Richard Burns.
